Di Lux Austin is the creation of husband & wife Nathan Baumann and Susan Shields, both of whom have worked in Austin’s restaurant industry for over a decade, Nathan in both Vespaio’s & Enoteca Vespaio’s kitchens as well as Sweetish Hill Bakery, Bess and the Counter Café on Lamar. Susan has worked as a longtime server at Vespaio and food writer for Tribeza and The Austin Chronicle.

Upon the arrival of their daughter, Lux, in 2005 they decided to roll their endless hours of experience, Nathan’s culinary talents and Susan’s keen service, into a catering enterprise bearing their daughter's name.

The tenets of their efforts are excellent food, personal and professional attention, and creating outstanding moments for our clients.
